The Way I Manage My Projects with brightpod
Our day usually starts off with the team cranking up Spotify with a first come first serve mentality on who gets to choose the genre of music for the day. Quickest to grab the Airplay decides if we are listening to Country, Adel or maybe even some Justin Bieber. And lots of coffee.
We are a results driven company. Our street team hits different hot spot communities to spread the word and onboard local businesses to iHeartLocal while our development and product team work hard on implementing the changes and design features needed for both our app and merchant platform to help support small businesses.
I heavily rely on my Calendar and 6 ounces of Espresso to start my mornings. I’m constantly shuffling between meetings, conference calls, dinners, and meeting the street team. No one day is the same. Once I successfully have my cup of espresso I move onto checking emails and previous day progress on Brightpod. If tasks still need to be completed I can delegate appropriately and assign new tasks to additional team members.
We have two products with iHeartLocal, our app geared towards letting consumers recommend their favorite local spots and connect with the owners, and our Merchant platform which gives the small businesses the analytics and insights to their customers following their place profile on the app so my day is spent making sure both are scaling in unison with each other.
I’m usually ending my day with a glass of wine either at networking events, conferences, client dinners or my comfy couch. Life’s all about balance ;)
Brightpod - We switched a few months back and it has really simplified our process. Our new marketing interns also gain from having a structured workflow for them to revisit throughout the day.
I try to make sure all my conference calls are held the first thing in the morning and client meetings are held over dinner with a nice glass of wine. This gives me ample time in between to sit down with the development team, our product manager and make sure I get my own Marketing Tasks completed in Brightpod.
I try to make sure to throw my phone on Do Not Disturb passed 10 pm and leave it in the living room to wrap my day up. Not having it next to me makes for a deeper, uninterrupted sleep. It’s taken me almost a year to force myself to do this, however, I highly recommend it.
We currently have 5 Team Members in Brightpod and are exploring adding the rest of our team. We utilize the Pods for everything from Event Marketing, Digital, SEO, Social Media Platforms. I could go on and on for days on how its simplified our processes for the marketing department.
We were using Trello. We are surprised how quickly we made a full switch to Brightpod after testing it out for just a few days it really fit the need of what our company was looking for.
Not yet, however, I know Brightpod will deliver on my expectations should that issue arise.
Nothing too crazy. Brightpod makes it easy for all levels to understand. Great tutorials and customer service if we have had any questions.
Workflow and Pods - Hands Down. We are a software company filled with Developers, QA, Product Managers, Interns, Sales and Marketing. Our workflow keeps each team in line with process and structure making sure everything gets accomplished throughout our constantly changing days.
We would adjust, but I might shed a tear and drink a glass of wine to creatively figure out next steps.
Brightpod customer service goes above and beyond to make sure you get questions answered. They’ve made our company feel like we are not just a number in their system.
