The Way I Manage My Projects with brightpod
WhosOnLocation is visitor, contractor and employee management cloud software that lets organizations keep their people, assets, and IP safe and secure. At WhosOnLocation we believe that safety and security starts with knowing who is on-site. If you think about how organizations manage visitor access; communicate visitor policies, give evacuation instructions, or create amazing visitor experiences for their one-off or frequent recurring visitors. That's exactly what WhosOnLocation does.
Bums on exercise balls (there aren't many chairs used at WOL HQ), key players checked in, everyone's priorities are sorted and tasks on track. Most of the high-intensity work gets down before mid-day. Phone calls before 2pm and admin after that. Laughs and original ideas before the end of the day.
These days I seem to be up at 5.30 am when my kids get into bed and do their daily rotisserie chicken routine. We fit in some wriggly cuddles before it's time to get out of bed. I clear work stuff while feeding kids, then do the drop offs. In the office working hard from 9 till 11.30 when I try to head to the gym. After that, I'm back to the office for meetings and more work until it's time to pick the kids up at 5. After school its rugby (NZ national sport) and then cook dinner. At 8pm I am back into my own time, when I usually clear emails and move on to reading a business book until my eyes flutter and I'm asleep, waiting until my two chickens join me again.
1. If you can do it in 5 minutes, do it then and there and tick it off.
2. Make notes.
3. Do refreshers to fire the nerves into action. My favorites are 'bug on a ball' (balancing on an exercise ball with your arms and legs off the ground) and cross-legged stretching (sit on the ground with legs crossed and stretch arms far out in front of body).
At the moment we are running around 6 projects and we have 3 team members.
We were using Trello before we tried Brightpod, which was recommended to us by another SaaS company. We needed a tool that was really easy to use, so it would be well used and not just sit there.
Not that I can think of.
Because of the nature of WhosOnLocation (and because we are in a very high-growth phase) we love trying out new tools like Brightpod. We adapted to using Brightpod quite easily, making sure to give enough time and energy to get to know the app's potential and how it could help our business/productivity.
My email updates are a perfect heads up for what is happening with my marketing team.
Pretty frustrated, we have a symbiotic relationship now so of course I hope Brightpod is here to stay.
I like the way Brightpod is friendly and personal but yet not over the top, nice one Brightpod!
