The Way I Manage My Projects with brightpod
WhosOnLocation is a cloud software that helps organizations manage people signing into and out of offices, manufacturing plants, construction sites, and other workplaces and locations.
A pretty fast-paced, innovative and fun scene. The WhosOnLocation office is always buzzing with productivity and passion - I know that sounds corny but it's actually true. Our team is so talented and cool and we all support each other and our customers. Somehow we manage to fit in lots of laughs and team building activities along the way (group bootcamp is great).
I generally start each day with a coffee, I love coffee! Mmm coffee. First thing at my computer I will check my personal to-do lists and then the team pods (in Brightpod) to check in on what needs to be nailed on the day, what needs to be pushed back, and what's on the horizon. Then it's all go. At the end of the work day, I usually run out the door to make a guitar lesson, quiz night or some stand-up comedy - after making sure any tasks are safely prioritized in a task list of course.
1. Focus! If I can't concentrate on something I will switch to another task or get up and go for a walk. Also, don't have too many tabs open (a massive risk in my line of work), and if you realise you have way too many, take that chance to bring back the focus.
2. Integrate your tools as much as you can, or use tools that do everything you need so you don't waste time doing things twice. Oh and use browser extensions (Buffer and Grammarly are two of my favorites, TabCloud too!).
3. When you have awesome ideas but you are in the middle of a task do a quick brain dump and get back to focus (see tip a.). You can also take that time to make sure you don't have too many tabs open.
4. Love what you do.
We have a team of 3 using Brightpod and run all of our marketing projects through the web app. The calendar view helps us to keep on top of what needs to go out/ be done, and by when.
We were using Trello when I first started here. We decided on Brightpod after our wonderful marketing advisor told us how great it was. I have had many project management tools / self-made systems over the years and I am really enjoying using Brightpod.
Not that I can think of but we definitely rely on Brightpod these days!
Not really, it was quite easy to pick up, we did a demo, found the best plan for us and then committed to using it as much as we could to see if it would work. After that the customer support has been great and we just added a new team member who picked it up straight away.
Hands down the calendar view, and comments on tasks - I do a lot of that.
I would probably feel annoyed, and sad.
Brightpod has good customer service which in my opinion is super crucial to getting a tool to work for me - I'm big on asking questions to get the max use out of our paid services. Also, good price :) Rock on Brightpod!
