The Way I Manage My Projects with brightpod
Ultimately, our purpose is to be a small business' best friend. We build websites, social media marketing and consult them to their next level of success. I'm the King of Consulting and my Co-Founder, Rebekah Dull, is the Queen of Social Media.
Honestly, there isn't a cookie cutter day. Depending on our workload, we work about 8-12 hours. It's sometimes intense by solving other people's problems; and other days it's having fun and attending interesting workshops. It really depends what's in our pipeline. The goal to build upon day's prior success.
My work routine is really used by my apps, Todoist and Brightpod. Rebekah uses Anydo. We sometimes use Evernote. We have daily Systems and Process meetings to find out what's working and what's not to improve our effectiveness and productivity. It usually ends with checking the next couple of days outlook, and forecasting the workload ahead which Brightpod assists with.
My top 3 are the following:
a. Write every task down to cross it off;
b. Take a walk between major projects as a transition to regroup; and
c. Collaborate with Rebekah as much as possible.
We have 2 team members right now and 6 pods. Since we develop websites, Brightpod is great for managing the workload that it entails. We use it to break out projects into stages and this tells us how close we are to being finished and what needs to be done to finish it. As for consulting, we're still figuring that out.
We were using the checklist function in Evernote, but it wasn't enough to manage several projects. We still use Evernote for taking notes when we meet with clients. But Brightpod is our go-to for managing the project itself and having happy clients at the end.
Not yet. But we are still breaking in the platform and I'm sure there will be a time. The more I use Brightpod the more I understand exactly what I can do on it. We enjoy knowing that it can handle our workload, but more so that we can grow with it.
There really wasn't a learning curve. Brightpod is easy to use. After you begin using it you'll see that it's very intuitive. The learning is more on how your operations can be intertwined with the functionality.
Since me and my co-founder work together quick frequently, the ability to assign specific tasks to each other is amazing. This allows us to have clear communication in the expected workload on each person's end.
I would feel devastated! I need Brightpod to manage my workload and to increase my productivity. Let's not go down that path, lol.
We appreciate the opportunity to give you direct feedback.
