Idea of converting better is when you can explain a complex solution in simpler terms to your customer, rather than attempting to impress them with heavy dose of vocabulary or tons of pages of proposals.

Describe an average day at Digital Success?

Being in the sea of operations, the day starts even before I hit the office, like many of you. The small screen in hand decides what my day is going to look like and how certain emails are going to change my priorities of the day. Starting with “Eating the Frog” first, running through the calendar and plan my project review meetings or team meetings. Almost on all the days there are scheduled internal alignment meetings and calls. Teams are constantly seen brainstorming about ‘how-to-make-it-better’, ‘how-to-resolve-this, exchanging notes, reading the latest and client interactions.

As a Founder/Marketer what are some of your favorite productivity hacks?

I don’t get stressed by looking at the size of the plate. If given devoted focus and reduced walk-ins in my cabin, my day is pretty big to deal with almost all the scheduled and unscheduled tasks. It’s whirlwind which takes away one’s most of the time and attention. Reduce it and work with focus. Don’t work on something which doesn’t interest you at that point, Do it later, if possible.

As a person who is well-versed with online marketing/ inbound, I’m sure you rely on a few marketing tools to automate your efforts. What are the top 3–5 tools you use?

Well, tools and technologies are enablers and time savers. We have developed our own “Reporting Dashboard” by integrating, Google analytics, Search console, Social media, Adwords, Rank tracking tools, Call tracking tool, Form integration etc, which provides real time reporting on all the projects. This shift has made reporting from being a more cumbersome, excel driven format to one click automated report, which our clients swear by.

Your company has a growing community of users. How do you use this treasure trove of customer insight to power your marketing efforts?

Customers are the best educators. They may ask you a simple and innocent question which needs most complex explanation and study or they can put a really unchartered situation before you. All that is learning for us and the team and helps us deal with similar or future challenges better.

What is your strategy for getting people to your site and then converting them to a customer?

Simplicity and Easy to understand content. We don’t want to scare the visitors away by heavy use of jargons. Mostly problems are simple and solution is complex to understand for the client but easy to implement for a provider. Idea of converting better is when you can explain a complex solution in simpler terms to your customer, rather than attempting to impress them with heavy dose of vocabulary or tons of pages of proposals.

Is there any advice you’d like to give to budding marketers to help them work smart and stay productive?

Read more, stay updated. Learn from mistakes faster.

How do teams at Digital Success have fun at work/ make work fun?

They do pranks, they play Carrom, they pick up a political or national topic to debate over.

A big thanks to Chetan for taking the time out to answer these questions! If you haven’t already, we highly recommend that you check out Digital Success.
