Describe an average day at EnVeritas Group?

I know that everyone says this, but now two days are alike at EnVeritas Group. Typically we get settled into work by checking our email and resolving any loose ends from the day/week before. Then we have a few meetings to catch up on all our projects and ensure everything is running smoothly and that there won't be any delays in deliverables to the client. Next is writing, editing, budgets, proposals, and other project related work. Usually we sneak in a lunch around here. When we are back from lunch we may have a few afternoon meetings, but otherwise we will continue our project-related work. Before the end of the day we will wrap up with emails and finalizing what we can so we can start tomorrow fresh!

As a Founder/ Marketer what are some of your favorite productivity hacks?

I am a marketer with EVG. My official title is Marketing Associate, though that doesn't capture all the odds and ends of the job. Some of my best hacks are using Google Drive to store, share, and organize all project information. When your entire team uses the same methods it makes life a dream. Also, I always have my calendar up so I don't forget deadlines or meetings.

As a person who is well-versed with online marketing/ inbound,  I’m sure you rely on a few marketing tools to automate your efforts.  What are the top 3-5 tools you use?

We use Sprout Social to help us with our internal marketing efforts. It really makes posting across multiple platforms incredibly easy. Again, I would champion G Suite as being a great tool to streamline processes. We also use HubSpot to make it easy to respond to website inquries.

Your company has a growing community of users. How do you use this treasure trove of customer insight to power your marketing efforts?

We are always meeting with the client and talking to them about the progress of the campaign, their pain points, and any improvements that can be made. Open, honest communication is key to any successful relationship.

What is your strategy for getting people to your site and then converting them to a customer?

We have a number of ways to get customers to our site. But the main way that we accomplish this is by regularly updating our site with relevant content. Being content marketers for others can make it easy to slip when it comes to marketing yourself but we make a concerted effort to continuously post regular, scheduled content to the site to maintain the dialogue with customers and potential customers.

Is there any advice you'd like to give to budding marketers to help them work smart and stay productive?

Keep an updated To Do list and an updated Calendar. If you know what you have planned and what you are working on it is much easier to stay on track.

How do teams at EnVeritas Group have fun at work/ make work fun?

Though the summer has gotten the best of us, we do have regular team building lunches or get-togethers. Right now we have a work Fantasy Football League. In the past, we have done themed lunches, baby showers, and pumpkin carving contests.

How do you make use of your downtime? Any hobbies, out of work interests that rejuvenate you?

I have a lot of hobbies outside of work including comics, film, art, and writing. Along with my husband, I publish mini comics and zines. Some of it is my own work but some of it is friends' work. I am involved in the local film scene in Greenville, SC and help out on set on shorts and other video projects.

A big thanks to Shawn for taking the time out to answer these questions! If you haven’t already, we highly recommend that you check out EnVeritas Group.
